Pastor's Pen
Children of the Most High God, greetings to you all in Jesus name.
Praise God for His never failing grace and His abundant mercy.
I thank God that in all the mistakes, the transgressions, the failures and our disobedience, His grace and mercy sees us through to another day. However, shall we continue the way we are, scraping through each day, relying on His grace and mercy? On the other hand, we must make every effort to change, to grow in the knowledge of our God so that our life is not just a scraping through from day to day and the abundant life that was promised to each and everyone of us by our Lord Jesus Christ.
There are many sermons being preached, many bible studies being taught and many motivational sessions being held to lift up the arms of the church. All of those things are great, but we have failed to address the most important point as to why so many things are not working out. Why are so many Christians still living in defeat? We have buried our heads in the sand, immersed ourselves in the newest praise and worship CD’s, set our clocks for the next programme on God TV and not dealt with the main burning issue, disobedience!
Christians lack obedience! There, it is said, so many of us, so called Christians, are downright disobedient. We go chasing after what the next great “word” is, or what the next “move of God” is, or want someone to
prophesy over us, but fail to obey what the Lord has told us to do in the first place.
Paul’s problem with the Corinthian church was not their infancy, or lack of the word being taught to them, it was their disobedience! Six years later, he writes to them and they and the church are still in the same place, doing the same thing, talking the same talk.
The message to my church and to all who read this is clear, plain and simple. Stop trying to be cool, contemporary, hip, in touch and so forth. Just be obedient! I realize that many people read this, not only from our own church, but from other churches both in the UK and abroad.
So now that I have your attention, stop trying to chase after the next conference, or miracle crusade. Stop trying to get the next fix from another church or another man of God. Standstill and obey His Word. No matter how great the man of God is, no matter the prophesies he may release over your life, if you disobey God, it is not going to work out for you.
To my own congregation, my dearest spiritoflife, I am proud of every effort you are making to study and grow in the knowledge of His will and His Word. Go on, I am praying for you and I know that He who started the good work in you will see it to completion.
With all my love,
Pastor Dia Moodley
